Three of Six Bank Babies

Here are three kittens from a litter of seven in the T D Bank North Parking lot. Apparently someone deliberately released their mother when she was only a kitten, now she has a litter of her own somewhere. The bank employees have been feeding them, but one kitten has already been killed by a car. Today we managed to trap 3 of the 6 remaining but they are going to take a lot of time to socialize because of their age. Hopefully we can get them into foster homes quickly but there are always more kittens than there are foster homes.

If you are interested in becoming a foster home please email adoptions@armv.org

Warming Ember

Ember is one of a litter of five kittens rescued from Bodwell St. The kittens and mother are extremely loving and friendly. Sometimes when people move house quickly or evicted they turn their house pets outside to fend for themselves, thinking this is better than turning them over to a shelter or giving them away. The biggest danger is that these unspayed animals don't have any street smarts and if they aren't killed by the cold or cars they end up having kittens in inappropriate and dangerous locations. Most kittens born in winter do not make to spring. Ember and her siblings are only a week or two away from being ready for new forever homes.

Frozen Franklin

Eight week old Franklin was found sick and injured on Franklin St. in Lawrence and was then put in a cardboard box next to a trash can. ARMV picked him up and gave him medical care and warmth. He is doing great now. He may have been picked up by a dog as his back legs are still unsteady. He is happily wobbling all over the place playing with the much bigger cats. He should be ready for adoption in a few weeks.

ARMV has been working to trap neuter and release the cats at the Landing that cannot be adopted. Kittens and young cats like Rusty are kept and socialized for adoption. Happy Tails - Penny Finds a home

Penny is doing great. She’s quite the character. She has 3 new big brothers, Ziggy, Ozzie and Felix. She and Felix are already playing like they’ve know each other for years. We decided to keep calling her Penny – we love the name and she seems to answer to it. Attached is a picture of her taken just last night.

Jazz and Taz

Jazz and Taz are both very shy kitty's until you put the Jazz station on TV. They will sit there for hours and wiggle back and forth listening to the Jazz. Thats how she got her name. The music makes her very mellow and purrs very loud. Her brother Taz is a little bit more mischevious hence his name Taz, however, he loves music as well. They have been adopted by a couple who love Jazz music and would love to have their company to listen to it with them. They were found eating out of a garbage can and not have a fairy tale ending

romeo and Juliette

Romeo and Julie was found running down the solid yellow line on route 28 when he was only 5 weeks old - a past foster mom grabbed him. He was a friendly sweetheart and no one knows how he got there. He has a big heart and loves anything and everything. Juliette was as feral as they get - if you looked at her or touched her she would panic and scream in fear. When I put the two together he softened her up to a sweetheart like him. The two are inseparable now, they cry if they don't see each other. True Love does exist for them.

Happy Tails Evangeline gets a forever home

Evangeline was rescued in Methuen last summer. She had been abandoned or lost and found a place under a shed to have 4 roly poly little babies. She was a very good mom and all her babies soon found good homes, and after months of adoption events Evangeline "Angie" has finally found her very own forever home with James and his mother. Angie is the queen of the house with a dog and a couple of guinea pigs to keep in line - but she is well loved and is an adorable lap cat.
